Golden View Open Bar

A spectacular view of the city

There are not too many doubts about why the place is called the Golden View Open Bar. The view that you can enjoy from this location is really incredible, especially in Florence that, full of narrow streets and small glimpses, has few points that are at the same time comfortable and incredibly scenic. The Golden View is both. The restaurant, which is both a café and a wine bar as well as a restaurant, is spread over six hundred and fifty square meters, articulating itself in a large number of spaces all sharing a common style identity. In other words, the Golden View is a meeting place, which adapts itself to all customer needs, from a quick coffee, to afternoon snacks, to aperitifs and dinners.

The most immediately visible part of the Golden View road is the café, dedicated to all the moments of pause during the city races, such as an espresso on the fly or a drink at the counter. Needless to say, the best place to enjoy the place is the panoramic hall that allows you to admire the entire Lungarno and Ponte Vecchio, and is perfect for a refined but light lunch break, a cup of tea with sweets at sunset or a glass of champagne to sip, once the evening arrives, accompanied by the appetizers.

For those wishing to enjoy an aperitif in a more refined and discreet location, the Golden View cellar is the ideal place. Designed by architect Marta Sansoni from a disused area dating back to the 15th century, the cellar is a refined space, far from the masses and above all, with more than six hundred wine labels that you will find indicated in the paper signed by the sommelier Paolo Miano. If you want to make the occasion even more special, there is a possibility to sit in the Private Cellar, a space in itself that will make you feel even more immersed in a luxury of your own.

The restaurant, whose cuisine is directed by chef Luis Delgado, is divided into three rooms, each facing a different point of the Lungarno. From one of these you can access, through the arches, the perfect terraces in the summer for a panoramic stop while the third room is called jazz room because it hosts live music events.

Here, there is also the Champagneria, with a selection of sparkling Italian and French wines, of which you can not resist ordering a bottle. The best specialty in the Champagneria of the restaurant are the fish crudités, especially the “crudo italiano” a selection of tuna, amberjack, sword and shrimp tartare topped with an olive oil of the highest quality. In its simplicity, a gem. But, certainly there is no lack of a rich proposal of meat, as it is tradition, of which, in addition to the Florentine, we also point out the duck leg with caramelized apples. You will also find a vegetarian option with seasonal vegetables and a dessert section.

If you want to live the dream to the full, awaiting you on the first floor of the restaurant, the apartment Privée Dreams, an elegant pied-à-terre with a balcony overlooking the Ponte Vecchio, a bed with red velvet canopy, stucco and frescoes at the ceiling and also a large table where you can organize unforgettable dinners. If it is a luxury experience you are looking for, but you want it far from the usual slopes, the Privée Dreams could be for you.

Any moment of your day, any truly important occasion, deserves a suitable scenario. And what, then, is there more suitable than the Golden View, with all its beauty, all the style and all its panorama?

We can't. That's why every week we share the best experiences florence has to offer.
